New Services Launch for Upper Egypt Passengers with Train Schedule Modifications and Additions

As part of the Egyptian National Railway Authority's commitment to developing services provided to passengers, the Authority has decided to extend the route of trains 927/926 Cairo/Alexandria to Assiut Station, and operate a new service with luxury second-class cars on the Cairo/Assiut line and vice versa to serve Upper Egypt passengers.

Starting Saturday, September 27, 2025, train 930 (luxury second class) will operate from Cairo to Assiut, departing from Cairo Station at 08:30 and arriving in Assiut at 13:20 according to the attached schedule. The return journey will be train 929 (luxury second class), departing from Assiut Station at 13:40 and arriving at Cairo Station at 18:30 according to the attached schedule.

Additionally, the route of train 926 (luxury second class) Alexandria/Cairo has been extended to Assiut Station, departing from Alexandria Station at 04:45 and arriving in Assiut at 12:15 according to the attached schedule. The return journey will be train 927 (luxury second class), departing from Assiut Station at 16:00 and arriving in Alexandria at 23:50 according to the attached schedule.

Consequently, the schedules of the following trains have been modified: (979 – 974 – 736 – 703 – 157 – 3018 – 713 – 153 – 159 – 978 – 944 – 975 – 81 – 4 – 31 – 3503) according to the attached schedules.

This initiative stems from the Authority's efforts to provide distinguished service to citizens across all railway network lines.

The schedules have also been updated on the Egypt Trains website, and ticket prices for the new trains have been added.
