Summer trains on the Cairo-Marsa Matruh line and vice versa have been suspended.

As part of the Egyptian Railway Authority's seasonal operational plan, and with the end of the summer season, the Egyptian National Railways Authority announces the suspension of summer trains on the Cairo-Marsa Matruh line and vice versa, according to the following schedules:

Sleeper train (772/773) Cairo-Marsa Matruh will be suspended starting September 17, 2025, with its final run from Cairo on September 15, 2025.
Sleeper train (774/775) Marsa Matruh-Cairo will be suspended starting September 18, 2025, with its final run from Marsa Matruh on September 16, 2025.
Air-conditioned train (772/773) Cairo-Marsa Matruh will be suspended starting September 21, 2025, with its final run from Cairo on September 18, 2025.
Air-conditioned train (774/775) Marsa Matruh- Cairo, with its final operation from Marsa Matrouh on September 19, 2025.
The operation of third-class air-conditioned trains (1933/1934 – 939/940) on the Cairo-Marsa Matrouh line will be discontinued, effective September 28, 2025, with its final operation from Cairo on September 27, 2025.
The operation of third-class air-conditioned train (942/943) from Marsa Matrouh to Cairo will be discontinued, with its final operation from Marsa Matrouh on September 27, 2025.
The operation of third-class air-conditioned train (1935/1936) from Marsa Matrouh to Cairo will be discontinued, effective September 29, 2025, with its final operation from Marsa Matrouh on September 28, 2025.
